This Remote Administration tool was created with a certain purpose: it has a "downloader" and "dropper" function. It was designed so, that once inside the system, it downloads and installs a bigger virus. This RAT originated in August 1999 (Golden Retriever 1.1B), but later in September 2001 a newer version appeared. The author of this pest is a hacker called Noa.

This is a Remote Administration Tool that is used by hackers to control the victim's machine remotely. The possibilities of such program depend on the needs of the attacker. The attacker infects the PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing. A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. The functions of a RAT may vary, depending on the needs of the hacker. Some RATs can't really harm your PC and the only purpose they were made for is hooliganism. But some versions can steal vital information, delete files and even crash your system. This RAT creates a "backdoor" in the security system of the infected PC. It allows the intrude to bypass the AV protection and connect completely unnoticed. The pest originated in November 1999. This dangerous RAT is similar to a very famous NetBus Remote Administration Tool. The author is an Italian hacker called Quequero. He wrote this pest in assembly programming language.

Adware/Backdoor/Downloader/SandBoxer downloads files to victim's computer, with a help of them it will open pop-ups. It is extremely hard to detect.
