RAT (Remote Administration Tool) is a virus, used by hackers to access and control other people's computers. All RATs function by the same principle: a hacker tries to infect his victim's machine with a "server" program, so that he can connect via a "client" on his machine. The abilities of RAT programs may vary, depending on hacker's needs. This particular virus uses some "trojan" abilities to infiltrate the victim's PC. And a "backdoor" function allows it to stay unnoticed in the system. It was created in February 2002.

A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. The functions of a RAT may vary, depending on the needs of the hacker. However this program can not be classified as dangerous, because the server is visible in the Task Manager. This RAT originated in May 202. It was written in Visual Basic. The author is a hacker called Manga Man.
