SpyNoMore Anti-Spyware: Spyware Removal Database - Backdoor (Page 29 of 174)

A Backdoor is an undocumented or secret means that can be used to obtain unauthorized access to your computer, or a malicious program that uses such a means to penetrate a computer system. Backdoor applications exploit vulnerabilities of installed programs or operating system and allow attackers to gain control over your computer system. Backdoor works in the background and hides from the user. It is always a high security risk.

CmjSpy (Backdoor.CmjSpy)

CmjSpy.05

Many variants of this hacker tool appeared from April 2003 to June 2004. The only difference between them is that they install themselves in to the system under different names. A RAT program works by a simple but effective principle: the hacker infects the machine with a "server" program via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing system and can control it, using a "client" on his computer. The virus installs a "backdoor" in the security, so that the attacker can enter the system unnoticed.

Coldfusion.1.1.B

Coldfuson.10

ColdFusion is a dangerous RAT with lots of malicious features. It is based on classical “server and client” technology. Server runs on a compromised computer and the client part is used by the attacker to control server remotely. ColdFusion server’s functions can vary depending on initial configuration made by hacker. Usually it secretly runs on every Windows startup, accepts unauthorized remote connections, modifies critical system settings, logs keystrokes and allows to manipulate all local files. Most ColdFusion versions have the ability to terminate and launch any installed application. Some configurations also can take screenshots of user activity and spy on a user via attached web cam. Installed ColdFusion violates user’s privacy and damages the system. It should be removed using advanced antivirus and spyware removal tools.
