Description:

Iron Defender is another rogue anti-spyware application which may be secretly installed by a trojan or manually downloaded from one of many fraudulent Fake Scanner Sites. Iron Defender can block you from running removal programs and tools (see Symptoms section below). If the infection is blocking your removal attempts, we have easy to follow special workaround instructions below.

Once installed, Iron Defender performs a fake system scan then displays exaggerated fake results. Also, Iron Defender periodically displays fake balloon messages and other warning messages to try and scare you into purchasing their full version (which also is a fake program).

Iron Defender Special Removal Instructions

Step 1: Click here to download the SpyNoMore installer onto the infected computer. If you are unable to download to the infected computer, you can download it to a clean computer and transfer it to the infected computer (by using a network or a flash drive). NOTE: The installer will be named iexplore.exe.

Step 2: Double-click iexplore.exe to install SpyNoMore on the infected computer. When the installation is completed, SpyNoMore will check for and download available updates which will alert Iron Defender to its presence at which point Iron Defender may shut down SpyNoMore. If SpyNoMore is shut down by the infection, restart SpyNoMore from the desktop shortcut then click on 'Settings' and make sure that the box labled 'Use Internet Explorer settings' is NOT checked.

Step 3: SpyNoMore will scan your computer and if Iron Defender is present, SpyNoMore will detect it and you will be able to see Iron Defender or Trojan.Iron Defender in the scan results. Please note that the free version of SpyNoMore will only show you the detections but will not remove them.
