Description: WinFixer is an adware program that uses dubious methods to coerce users into buying it. Among those methods is to install itself without user's consent, then generating fake error messages that recommend WinFixer as a solution. The user needs to purchase WinFixer to unlock it and fix alleged errors. WinFixer automatically launches on computer startup and is known to generate many popups. During testing, WinFixer was noticed to communicate with a host server for unknown reasons, which also makes it a data theft risk.
